Lisa (Evangelia) Olia Awdzoglu was born in Thessaloniki (GREECE) and lives since her childhood in Zurich (SWITZERLAND). All the way through school she was aware of a growing inner compulsion to fulfil her artistic ambitions. After finishing high school she studied law for two years at the University of Zurich (1984-86) but soon realized that her future would have to be devoted to art.
Lisa's Greek roots manifest in an unmistakable preference for vivid and warm colors. The strong influence of the Mediterranean landscape is evident in many of her paintings, either in her choice of subject matter or in the dominant, vivid yellow tones. Her paintings are characterized by rounded shapes and flowing lines. She is using oil pastels on velours paper, an unusual technique that lends itself to highly expressive forms.
On 1988 she established her art company by the name of LISARTE printing several distincitive products of her paintings. Since 1989 she had several exhibitions of her art where she received enthusiastic reviews from the media.
